Hello Everybody!

Posted in: Blog by admin on July 26, 2007

I love my job!! I’ve been a DJ for a long time and I don’t think I could find anything more enjoyable….

For all you fellow and FEMALE DJs out there you know what I am talking about.  I have somehow created the perfect world.  I get to spend real mommy time with my children and have a successful career.   Every time I go to work it is a happy occasion with a wedding or a birthday party.  How can I go wrong?  I think that as a female DJ I have more to offer than the guys who are out there for some super stereo power trip.  I can’t stand the thought of a bride missing out on a good dance.  If I hear of a bride who is planning her ceremony music and its not sure about who is going to play it I volunteer to be her back up plan.  I want their wedding dance to be memorable in a good way…not just some DJ coming and playing music.  I read bridal magazines weekly to keep up with the latest trends so that I will have more ideas to offer them, even if it has to do with her center pieces or the best venue in town.  I just love weddings.  I love the romance, the family, the friends and the realization that they and their parents have waited all their lives for this one very special day.

I have 5 children.  I have four boys and one girl.  None of them are married yet.  I already have a song picked out for the Mother/Groom dance.  It is “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” .  It just reminds me of his little face and the first time I ever held him in my arms.  I am speaking of my oldest son Shawn.

Most of this blog will be articles to help my brides and grooms with ideas.  Some of it will pertain to DJ equipment and tips.  I am a PEAVEY type of girl!  I bought two sets of self powered JBLs and sorry JBL, but never again.  The price was just as high as if I had purchased a new set of SP$ and an amp.  I am selling them if anyone is interested.  I know that most of the other DJs in town think that they are good enough.  But I prefer my speakers to be made of wood (the enzyte commercial just came to mind…lol).  No more self powered plastic speakers for me!  I have a reputation to uphold!!

This has been fun, but I gotta run and put my kids to bed!  I will be positing helpful wedding tips by Tammy on here!
