Posted in: Blog, Featured by admin on January 23, 2008
“Hey Hailey, where are you getting married at?” “I’m getting married at A Friends House!”
In case you haven’t heard The White House in Kragnes has changed owners! The new owners are Jeremy and Bobbi Kuipers. They have renamed the old White house to “A Friends House”. What’s more they have done some huge improvements. They are also expecting soon.. Congrats Bobbi & Jeremy!
Every once in a while I come across something unique and elegant that I think is worth telling future brides and grooms about. This one is A friends house. The reasons I think this is such a good place to get married are many.
Wedding Show

We were at the Wedding show this Sunday at the Ramada. It was incrediby busy!
I have been to a few wedding shows in the past and have found them to be somewhat a waste of time. I must have just gone to the wrong wedding shows! This one was fantastic!
We brought in the photo booth so that brides and grooms could see what it was about and get their picture taken. Almost every picture was of couples kissing. We started calling it the kissing booth. I have never talked to so many people solid in a line like that. I do apologize to the people who were waiting in line. I know that there was a woman who came back three times waiting to talk to me. My mind was in a fuzz at about 3:30, trying to remember if I was repeating something, or if it was that I had said it to the couple before them, along with trying to remember their names.
We actually signed a couple of contracts there which was impressive! I also got to meet with several brides & grooms who have already booked with me. Parents of one bride came in to check out the photo booth. They booked that as well.
We are now offering another service, which we debuted at the wedding show. We are offering video services. If you know anything about our company we never ever do anything half way.. . We didn’t just add someone in to do video taping of weddings, edit it and that’s it.
We added what we call Wedding Tales. We brought in a new business partner by the name of Charles Hinton. This is what he does differently. First off he goes over and beyond in his service skills. For a Wedding Tale he will show up at 11AM with 2 cameras one covers the brides and her bridesmaids preparations for the day and the other camera covers the groom and his groomsmen. He does interviews and it’s like watching a reality wedding show. He then follows and does the wedding all the way up to the first dance. Much of the wedding day is missed by just having the wedding video. There is all the prep work, and no bride and groom can be everywhere all the time knowing what else is going on. It’s interesting for couples to look back on their day and the realization of how much work everyone put into their special day for them.
One thing I also noticed on his sound was that it was perfect. I asked him how he did this. He said that he writes down the name of the song and then puts it in later. There have been many times in the past where a videographer has plugged into my system and then maybe not had the right battery, equipment or they weren’t happy with the levels that were goingi into their cameras. They then want me to mess aroiund with my sound levels for a half an hour while I am trying to work and I need my levels to be right for the room, not the camera man. I always thought you would never get good sound that way.
We will be adding the site www.fargovideo.com to our list of services. We will also be showing some of the wedding tales on the website so that brides and grooms can take a look at his work.
Have a great time planning your wedding together!
